At this time, Dr. Buchanan is not accepting new patients for evaluation for mast cell activation diseases. We will update this website if/when she begins accepting new patients again. Please check here for any updates as the offices will direct you to check the website if you call with inquiries.+69
Dr. Buchanan sees selected new complex patients by specific referral from a current care provider (often a clinical geneticist, autonomic cardiologist, neurologist, gastroenterologist, hematologist, allergist-immunologist) who requests her input and assistance with their patient’s evaluation and management via a referral letter supported with previous records.
The typical prospective new complex patient has suspected or confirmed aberrant mast cell activation/mast cell activation syndrome, often associated with comorbidities such as hypermobility disorders and autonomic dysfunction.
After a review of the information provided in the referral letter and relevant records, a decision will be made whether the prospective patient is appropriate to be placed on Dr. Buchanan’s several-month waiting list for a comprehensive new patient evaluation.
